The global recession has everyone worried specially those who have already been living without a full time job. By the looks of it things aren’t going to get any better and even if it does it might just get a bit worse before it does get better. In times such as these you need to play it smart by saving as much money as you can for those days when you might be without work. For people with family and kids saving money can be very hard but if you set your priorities right you should be able to stretch a few dollars really far.
Here are a few tips that should help you save money:
- Make a list of everything you will need this week and this month. Include even the smallest expense such as paying for the newspaper etc. Then begin to exclude stuff you can live without. Like for instance if nobody in your home has the time to watch television why should be pay monthly cable bills?
- Make food and credit card payments your first priority. If you put off your credit card payment for the following month you will be paying extra so it’s best that you pay if off today.
- If you are purchasing new clothes make sure that you purchase it from a store that is offering a discount or has a shop closing sale.
